On Wednesday, the 15th of May, 2019, at approximately half past twelve in the afternoon, I received a rather unsettling automated call from BT. They informed me that my telephone line was set to be disconnected that very day. The message prompted me to press 1 if I wished to get in touch with their support crew, or press 2 if I wanted to proceed with the disconnection. Quite alarming, wouldn’t you agree?
