8 yearsI received a rather confusing call today from someone with a thick accent who said he was representing British Gas. He claimed that there was a refund available for the climate charge levy. He rattled off some details from my bills, although it wasn’t comprehensive, and then began probing for more personal information under the guise of processing the refund. While he was chatting away, I decided to check the number online and stumbled upon several comments here. I mentioned to him that if they’ve collected the money, they should already know the exact amount owed and could simply send a letter and a cheque-or transfer it directly to my account.
