No clue who they were or what kinda scam they were on about since I block all calls to my landline except for people I know. Like others have said, most of these calls don’t actually come from Perth - they’re spoofed numbers from those Indian call centres. Honestly, I can’t wait for the day when some proper tough folks pay them a visit. Would be great if someone filmed it and stuck it on YouTube!

Come on, they ain’t really ringing from Perth! These scammers clone numbers all across the UK so it seems local. It’s just some call centre in India trying to con you. And if you can’t spot the difference between a Scottish and Indian accent, well, you kinda asked for it!

Got a call but nobody spoke when I answered... reckon it was probably a scammer.

After getting loads of calls from a withheld number, I finally called back. The guy said it was about housing repairs for some damage, claiming a mate of mine was calling (no idea who or what number). I told him firmly I don’t have any damages. The man, who sounded Indian, suddenly sounded worried and just said ‘oh, OK’ and quickly hung up. But since then, I’ve been getting calls every single day since 11th July and now it’s the 18th.

Got a call from a woman who sounded like she had a Perth accent. When I tried to nicely say no thanks, she got quite rude and started going on about different types of insulation colours. Wasn't a nice chat at all, and the way she acted made me think it was some kind of scam or at least a dodgy business.

"Loft Survey Scotland". "This ain't a cold call. Didn't ya catch that? We're here to check the colour of your loft insulation 'cause it might not be energy efficient." Just so you know, from the Trading Standards Scotland site: "Scammers are using the rising energy costs to trick folks into thinking their loft needs checking. Trading Standards Scotland (TSS) advises homeowners not to deal with cold callers offering free loft surveys." Total scam. I just blocked them.

"Loft Insulation Scotland". I was curious about the colour of my loft insulation. They insisted they weren’t cold callers, which I found rather dubious. I simply wanted to ensure our insulation met energy efficiency standards, but they became quite defensive when I pressed for further information. It seems the "business" they claim to represent is non-existent. Just a heads up - Trading Standards Scotland has issued alerts regarding these so-called "companies". They've specifically noted how they dispatch supposed “surveyors” who are anything but, merely looking to peddle spray foam insulation. This can lead to serious complications, making it impossible to sell or remortgage your property. I’ve cut off all communication. They’re obviously up to no good.
