Got a call from a pushy young lass with a Scots accent. The call started off dead quiet and I had to say “hello” a few times. You could hear a call centre buzzing in the background. She said her name was Rebecca but wouldn’t say which company she was ringing from. Claimed she’d already told me, but that was total nonsense! I just ended the call. She had my last name, so they must’ve got that info from somewhere else. Definitely a scam.

Had a lady ring me up about loft insulation - pretty sure it’s a scam. Honestly, both the call and the woman were totally pointless and a complete time drain. Stay well clear of these people.

Total SCAM, no doubt about it. The caller kept asking about loft insulation. I told her my loft was already done, but I just let her carry on with her usual chat, saying it wasn’t about upgrading or anything. She finished with "an advisor might ring to check the loft." Yeah, right, no way! Just hang up straight away. Why are they still allowed to do this? I’ve blocked the number now.

BEWARE OF SCAMS! If you get a scam call, text the number and details to 7726. Scam messages on WhatsApp or texts should also be forwarded there. This will alert your phone network with a 'suspected scam number' warning. Don’t report genuine business numbers to 7726 though. It’s also a good idea to take a screen shot of scam messages and email them to the police at '[email protected]' for them to look into. If the scammer has managed to get your bank info, you must inform your bank immediately and also contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040. Stay safe!

The caller knew the owners name and mentioned it was about checking loft insulation for the homeowners. Seemed like she was working from home cos I could hear kids playing in the background. She had a Scottish accent. She called last month which I already reported, and now this is the second time they’ve called today.

They used my old surname and when I asked who was on the line, they just ended the call. There was loads of noise in the background, so I reckon it was some kind of sales call.
