10 yearsMy wife just had a rather bothersome phone call from a company calling themselves Your Vehicle Consultant. The chap on the other end was incredibly insistent, insisting that we’d been in some kind of accident. After I’d expressed my dissatisfaction quite colourfully, reminding him that there hasn’t been an accident in our family since the seventies, he still ploughed on with his script. The number he called from was a local one: 01324300585. I decided to give it a bell myself, and just like her, I ended up being redirected to a website that's apparently non-existent. It’s painfully obvious that these folks are nothing but scammers trying to pry personal information from unsuspecting individuals. Beware of this caller: Your Vehicle Consultant.10 yearsI've been receiving, on average, a couple of calls daily from this firm for several weeks on my BT Mobile, and they never leave any voicemails. After reaching out to BT, they gave the number a ring and it turns out it's associated with yourvehicleconsultant.co.uk. There's this pre-recorded message that directs you to a dubious website and claims that if you wish to take your name off their list, you need to shoot an email to [email protected], but there's absolutely no way I'm handing over any more of my information.
