I'm rather puzzled as to how these individuals managed to obtain our house number. We're very private folks, and I do occasionally engage with them, yet all they seem to possess is our mobile number. How on earth did they come by that detail?

I reckon it’s one of those firms that snap up debts from other businesses and then bother you trying to get you to pay even more.

I had a call from 1st Credit, a debt collection agency. If you find yourself receiving a call from them, it's a clear sign they reckon you've got an outstanding balance with them. Best to steer clear of any conversation! Wishing you calm vibes. Cheers, Regime Killah.

It seems these folks recently received a stern warning from the OFT. If you’ve had unfortunate dealings with this company, don’t hesitate to report them to the OFT. They’re definitely treading on dangerously thin ice. Fingers crossed they take a tumble!

This number rang us at precisely 8:15 this morning and didn’t utter a word when we picked up. They just sat on the line, listening, before ultimately hanging up without any explanation. Quite odd, really!

Initially, it's the credit company. We're bombarded with endless voicemails from an automated system urging us to get in touch. It’s rather frustrating, especially since it’s crucial that they send written correspondence instead!

These callers seem to have taken a liking to us, as they incessantly ring our number with irritating regularity. The peculiar thing is, we've never had any dealings or credit with them whatsoever. Conversation with them is quite unbearable, prompting us to stop answering their calls altogether. We’re not certain how long this has been going on, but there’s definitely a number harassing us every single day. All we get is silence and the sound of dead air on the line. Do respond to this, please. We've saved their number in our phone as (YOU clearly don’t give a toss) haha!

We keep getting these calls every so often, and usually, we forward them to our call centre. They leave a voicemail with a reference number, claiming it’s urgent. It feels like our ex is in a bit of a pickle because these callers frequently inquire about her but refuse to discuss it with us directly. It’s infuriating that she continues to share our number without a care. How on earth can we put a stop to this nonsense?

I've had a call from this number, but when I picked up, there was nothing but silence on the line. It felt like I was talking to a faulty automated system. After a few seconds of awkward waiting, they simply hung up on me. Given that we have no outstanding debts, it’s clear this was a case of mistaken identity.

I've had the misfortune of dealing with 1st Credit, and from what I've gathered, they primarily specialise in chasing up debts for banks. Honestly, I just told them to get lost and requested that they refrain from calling me again. Feeling rather relieved after a couple of weeks, to be honest!

Absolutely, this was the first time I encountered calls from a credit company. They rang up and immediately started asking for both my name and date of birth. When we inquired why they had been in touch, they claimed to be looking for someone named Mr. (ABC). I replied that they had the wrong number. After that, we tried calling the number back. The person who answered seemed confused about our previous interaction and asked for our number. Once we provided it, she apologised profusely and confirmed that there were no records associated with our number. It turned out to be a bit of a mix-up on their end!

We seem to get these calls every so often, and usually, we just forward them onto Call Out. They leave a voicemail with a reference number, insisting it’s urgent. It’s rather bizarre, as it often feels like our ex is causing the trouble; they consistently inquire about her without wanting to discuss it directly with us. It’s becoming infuriating, really, to think she’s still sharing our number. How on earth can we put a stop to this?

Got a call from 1st Credit, and they were trying to verify if I was XXXXX. I told them to carry on. They then asked for my date of birth, to which I cleverly replied that they should provide theirs first along with the name of their last evening's romantic partner. The caller then asked if we were wasting time, to which the answer is a resounding YES! Just tell them to bugger off.

We received a couple of calls from this number regarding a certain Mrs Susan Jones, which is quite baffling, considering I’m a 26-year-old bloke with no connection to her whatsoever. They even left a message on our voicemail with a robotic voice urging us to return the call to an 0870 number, including some reference number for what they insisted was an important message meant for Mrs Jones. If anyone has tips on how to deal with these persistent calls, I’d greatly appreciate your thoughts! Cheers!

Exercise caution when dealing with 1st credit. I happened to have a few missed calls from them, and a flatmate decided to ring them back. Next thing I knew, we found those calls reflected on our bill. Honestly, their charges are utterly outrageous!

These folks have attempted to call us twice over the last few days; if they try again, we'll have no choice but to tell them to clear off!

If you're looking for a bit of mischief, try this: dial 141 before the number you wish to call, then switch your phone to private and enjoy the show as they wonder who’s on the line! It’s like retribution, but do it only when you’ve got a spare moment and when it won’t cost you a penny to call those landline numbers. Just think, if we all join in, we might really show these callers how annoying they can be. Imagine the impact if more folks start giving them the cold shoulder-who knows, we might even drive them out of the game. Together, we hold the power! Cheers, ALPHAMAN

We picked up the phone only to be met with silence; the caller hung up without uttering a word. It's not the first time this has happened either-just yesterday we experienced the same thing!

I received a call from this number earlier today. When I picked up, there was complete silence on the line, almost like a glitch in a pre-recorded message. After about five minutes of pointless waiting, they just hung up. It’s worth mentioning we don't have any outstanding debts, so it’s clearly a case of misdialing or some sort of telemarketing mix-up.

We've had a couple of calls from this number looking for a Mrs Susan Jones, which is a bit odd since I'm a 26-year-old bloke and don’t know anyone of that name. They even left a voicemail with a recorded message urging us to call back an 0870 number and mention some reference, claiming it was an important message for Mrs Jones. If anyone has suggestions on how to deal with these nuisance calls, I’d really appreciate hearing from you!

I've got no clue who this could be. Any thoughts, anyone? They rang us despite us being registered with the Telephone Preference Service!
