Called on a Tuesday arvo with a proper English accent, asking for someone named Britney Morgan. Iv lived here for more than 30 years and never heard of any Britney around! She promised to take my number off their list. The number belongs to a company called Intrum, who deal with debts and collections in Reigate, and the lady definitely sounded like she was from Surrey! I’m gonna label this as harassment.

01737235202 called me earlier today but I didn’t pick up. Lately I’ve been getting loads of calls from debt collectors, so I only share my home number with close mates and family now. If it’s some other number, I just ignore it.

Received an email from Intrum.com today, which I’ve never come across before. It stated they recently sent me a letter about account reference xxxxxxxx (but I never got any letter). They want me to call 01737 235202 when I can to sort things out or go to myaccount.intrum.co.uk to check my account online. Signed by Gavin Flynn, Operations Director. Looked up the phone number and was shocked at how many times it’s been searched 👀

I received a letter instructing me to call a specific number and provide my bank details to settle a £99 claim with a payment of £10. I'm not comfortable sharing my bank information with anyone. If it were genuinely a legal matter, I'd have happily sent over £10 to resolve it. Honestly, if I could handle this at the post office, I would have without hesitation. Plus, I'm completely in the dark about what this is even regarding!

I’ve just got a letter from Intrum informing me they've acquired my debt from NatWest. They indeed had my loan account number (totaling £3,000), but amusingly, they were clueless about my overdraft account, which is a separate £1,500. Instead, they’ve lumped both debts together under one account number. They advised me to get in touch with Wescot to set up a direct debit, which I know to be a legitimate company, but I've yet to receive any communication from either Wescot or NatWest to confirm this. Intrum claimed they had a conversation with NatWest concerning my debt, which feels like a serious breach of my confidentiality. I hope this information proves useful to others navigating a similar situation. Cheers, Carl Marrison.

Intrum rings me every single day, but i'm not answering. I've made a small payment but they keep demanding more. Their letter says we don't have to speak to them if we don't want to, that we can just use the website. I've told them about my money troubles and asked them to only get in touch by email or letter, but they just ignore that, probably working with the others. At least my important bills are paid on time.

A woman, with a bit of an accent, was trying to get in touch with my partner. When I asked which company she represented, she refused to disclose that information, claiming it was "for legal reasons." I proposed that for similar legal reasons, I wasn't able to pass the call through to her. In the end, no idea who she was because she wouldn’t divulge despite me asking multiple times.

Someone rang me looking for a total stranger. They didn’t believe me when I said it wasn’t me and got really annoyed when I wouldn’t tell them my name.

Utterly vexing that they keep pressing for information like my name when she’d already requested it from me at the outset. When I inquired about the purpose of the call, she replied that she couldn't disclose anything because of data protection regulations. So, I retorted that I wouldn’t share anything either for the same reason. I've blocked their number, but lo and behold, they keep calling from variations of it-so, another block for that. Let's see if they try again tomorrow; clearly, they haven't grasped the essence of “take a hike," or something along those lines. Best just to keep blocking their numbers!

Do yourselves a favour and block this number! They rang me at 8 o'clock in the morning, engaged in some ridiculous antics and trying to fish for my personal information under the guise of data protection. Let's be honest, they already have access to my details! I certainly wasn’t about to hand over anything to a complete stranger-especially not when they're harping on about some old debt. When I mentioned I might be heading towards bankruptcy, they abruptly cut the call without a word. So seriously, take my advice, and steer clear of this number, folks!

This company is genuinely a debt recovery service. I had a personal loan that became a bit tricky when I lost my job, and they took it off my hands. However, I must say, every interaction I've had with them has been with kind and empathetic individuals. It really comes down to how you engage with them, doesn’t it?

I've received three calls from this number insisting that I have an outstanding debt. Interestingly, none of the calls or even the text referred to me by name, which raises a few red flags. They claim to be a debt collection agency. Be wary of the automated voice; it might sound convincing, but once you’re connected to a real person, you'll quickly realise they're not exactly trustworthy when it comes to sharing your bank details! Cheers,

I'm absolutely fed up with these lowlifes bombarding me with calls and messages! I'm baffled as to how they even managed to get hold of my number. I've never had any debts, not a single one in my life! I reckon they'll think twice when my solicitor sends them a nice letter. I'll make sure to take this all the way, mark my words!

Honestly, these chaps are nothing more than a pack of opportunistic debt collectors, desperate for anyone to get in touch so they can line their pockets! They try to scare you with imaginary debts to put the frighteners on you. It’s quite laughable, really, what a sad bunch of individuals!

I've just had a call from this number, and when I picked up, there was absolute silence on the other end. Naturally, I decided to investigate the number, as I'm not in any sort of financial pickle-apart from my mortgage, which I’m well ahead on. Now I'm feeling a bit anxious that perhaps someone has gone and misused my phone number for their own financial shenanigans.

Utterly discourteous, I must say. I've attempted to make a payment, yet they keep insisting on a higher amount, which is simply beyond my means. Being recently made redundant and having two little ones to care for makes it all the more difficult.

I encountered quite a discourteous and uncooperative individual when I was on the phone. To top it off, they hung up after I, rather bluntly, questioned the caller from 1st Credit about her apparent lack of comprehension. I had already provided my name and address not once, but twice, and she insisted on asking for it a third time! How exceedingly frustrating!
