Got an email claiming I owe money, but I looked up the number and it’s not from Intrum. Also checked my report on Clearscore and there’s no debt showing at all. Feels fishy to me.

This scam is really clever and could fool a lot of folks. The texts look like they're from Intrum, which is a real debt collection firm, but it's actually a con.

Heads up, it’s a clever scam. The number calling looks just like Intrum’s legit contact, but they’ve just switched the last couple digits. Never click on links in texts or emails from them. If they mention a reference number, the best bet is to visit Intrum’s site by typing the address yourself, then verify the reference. If it doesn’t pop up, chances are you don’t owe a penny.

Looks like a total scam to me! The phone number is almost the same, just the last two digits swapped (210-201). I checked the Intrum site myself by typing the reference code they sent (avoiding their SMS link entirely) and found zero results. If you're concerned, just search for Intrum on Google and visit their official site - don’t click any of their links or ring them back on that number.

They just keep ringing me up, these scammers won’t give it a rest.

Total scam, stay well clear folks. These lot shifted from Surrey about half a year back and are now operating outta Huddersfield. But these crooks still use the previous address to trick people. They did swipe the real company number 03752940 but most of the info is lifted. If you ask me, it’s obvious your personal details or outdated info ends up in the hands of con artists who aim to bully you into paying up. Seriously, watch out for these scammers!

I keep getting messages from a company called Intrum about paying off some debt, and they even use my first name in the texts. Thing is, I don’t owe anything to anyone. From what I can tell, they seem to be a real debt collection agency, but since I never had any debts, I just delete their messages without replying. Feels like a total scam to me. Best to just ignore and don’t get involved.

They claimed to be from a debt collection agency but were quite vague about any specifics regarding the alleged debt. They referred to themselves as "interim," yet we don’t owe anything. Just a heads-up to others to stay cautious!

Received a call from this number a moment ago, they kept saying my name. When I asked who they were, they said I should’ve got loads of letters from them (which I definitely haven’t). Then they tried to ask me stuff for ‘data protection’ but I said no and ended the call. Really strange experience.

Got a call from this number, claimed to be ringing for Intrum. When I asked what it was regarding, the person said they couldn't say anything unless I answered some security questions about myself. He claimed to be calling from interim finance services. Asked for my birth date and the first part of my address, saying it was for data protection (he already knew my name). Got a call from a Redhill number but had no idea who it was, so I let it go to voicemail. They left a message saying it was Intrum and to call back, even though we told them clearly to only get in touch via text or email! Their system seems really outdated - it doesn’t update payments made through online banking or any payment plan forms sent in quickly enough.
