11 yearsAround 7pm on the 8th of October I finally answered a call that kept coming through. The person on the line was doing some kind of survey asking for things like my name and age. He seemed quite polite but when he asked about my yearly income I just said no and ended the call politely. After that I got more calls from the same number which I ignored, but then 48 minutes later I found a message on my answerphone. It was really disturbing - the caller used my name and then kept singing the phrase “F*** OFF” like eight times! Despite being signed up with the TPS, I get loads of unwelcome calls sometimes up to eight times a day. This really needs to be stopped!PolitelyTPS11 yearsDid they ever say their name? I wonder if anyone can sit through the whole call just to catch it.11 yearsThey're proper annoying, just tell them to bugger off and they’ll get the hint pretty quick.11 yearsKept calling back and not a word from them. It’s always some foreign-sounding person on the line, and no matter how many times my missus and I tell them to quit calling, it never seems to make any difference.11 yearsThey call me like twice daily but whenever I pick up there’s no one on the other end. They ring up from across the UK and totally disregard the telephone preference service. If enough folks complain via the TPS site and someone determined (like me) takes it further legally, the info commissioner could slap them with a fine. The key is to be polite on the phone and coax out details about their business.UKTPS11 yearsThe name of the company is Unique Preferences.Unique Preferences11 yearsI told them I’m on the TPS and they just cut the call straight away.
