I've been getting loads of calls on my landline from 01733 8095 something, but no one ever talks or leaves any message. Its always silent. I reckon its probably just some company or scam trying to find active numbers to sell on or target with even more calls. Seems like pure hassle to me.

I’ve had a bloke claiming to be an energy advisor ring me a couple of times over the past few days. He came across quite nice and polite, so I turned him down just as politely. When he called again today, I made it clear I’m not with his company and asked him to stop bothering me. He might be legit, but is it really allowed to do these cold calls?

Got a call for the second time, this time showing a local number that seemed fake. The guy said he was Peter Stokes from some Energy Relief company and wanted to know if we'd installed double glazing. I didn’t want to get involved, told him we’re on the Do Not Call list, and that he really shouldn’t be ringing us. He hung up pretty sharpish after that. I've passed it on to TPS now.

Got a call from some bloke called Peter Stokes, said he was with Energy Relief and used a local number, but I reckon it was cloned or something. He was an older chap asking if I had double glazing! I told him our number’s on the TPS register and he just hung up. Blocked the number and sent a report to TPS straight away.

Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. I just let it ring out and have now blocked it. Turns out the number is linked to a firm called Magreatha or something similar. What’s odd is there’s also a call from 01905 889259, which is in Worcester, but this call came from a Peterborough landline. Bit confusing!

Got a call from someone claiming to be O2, offering a 30% discount on my contract for half a year. I asked if I’d be able to see the discount when logging into my O2 account, and they told me they’d send two security texts with links to click on. That instantly raised a red flag for me. Then they started talking about needing to run some security checks, but I said I’d rather contact O2 myself to verify everything and hung up. Total scam, no doubt about it.

I had a call from someone claiming to be O2 too. When I told them I’d left O2 ages ago, the line just went dead right away, which I don’t reckon O2 would do. I rang the number back and got a weird recorded message about utilities and a bunch of options that had nothing to do with O2. They’ve phoned me a few times before with similar rubbish, so I’m sure it’s a scam.

Got another call from someone about energy savings. It was a bloke who finally spoke and said, "Hi, Peter Stokes here." Before I clocked it was just a recorded voice, I shot back, "Well, of course you are. Happy Christmas!" then ended the call. Blocked them straight away.
