I got a text saying that the phone numbers for internet banking had changed and if it wasn’t me I should ring 08000966103 or +441733462206 if I was abroad. I looked up those numbers and they’re actually linked to bank scams. So just a heads up everyone, be careful and don’t call any numbers claiming to be your bank without checking first.

Just like many before me, I’ve received a dodgy message claiming that the phone numbers linked to my account have been altered. I do hold a TSB account, and upon logging in, I verified that everything was as it should be. It’s rather crafty, I must say; the one-time password from TSB for my internet banking popped up right under the same TSB label as that dodgy message. Quite the sneaky tactic!

Shifty business, that. I received a message purportedly from TSB, claiming that my internet banking contact details had been altered. However, it’s a scam. I’ve never even held an account there, so I realised straight away it was dodgy. If it had been from my actual bank, I might have been caught off guard. Best to block and delete such nonsense!

Well, I’m in a similar boat to the previous comments. I received two messages about an hour apart and, rather cheekily, decided to return the call, fully aware it was a dodgy scheme. I let rip down the line at the individual with the voice modulator, expressing my utter disbelief at getting a text regarding supposed fraudulent activity linked to my online banking. The thing is, I’ve never engaged in any form of online banking, nor am I even a customer of TSB! Haven’t had anything to do with them in a couple of decades. I wrapped up my little tirade with a clear message: “DO NOT EVER CONTACT MY PRIVATE NUMBER AGAIN! Bugger off!”

I got a message from this number along with 08000966103 claiming that my internet account with TSB had been changed. Problem is, I don’t even have a TSB internet account! So, I rang TSB myself. At first, the person I spoke to mentioned these texts were “automated” and that the 0800 number was legit. But when I checked again with TSB customer service, they denied sending anything like that. I've now asked why the first rep gave me wrong info and I’m waiting to hear back. Feels like TSB should maybe train their staff better so they can spot this kind of scam quicker?

Had a rather peculiar call at 5:58 AM today, supposedly from TSB. They informed me that our password had been altered. If one happens to be overseas, they advised to ring this number or the UK one: 08000966103. Quite suspicious, if you ask me!

I recently found myself caught up in what turned out to be a bogus promotion for a free iPhone XS. Following that, I received a somewhat alarming message from TSB stating that my internet banking phone numbers had been altered. It urged me to ring either 08000966103 or +441733462206 if I hadn't initiated such a call myself. Quite the hassle, really!
