Earlier today, I received a phone call from a gentleman with an Indian accent who identified himself as an employee of Citizen Advice. He contacted me regarding my debts. In response, I inquired about the amount of debt that he was referring to. Rather impolitely, he responded by saying that I should already be aware of my debts since they belonged to me. Furthermore, he claimed to have access to my bank details; however, I refused to continue the conversation on that particular topic. The gentleman insisted that I was lying about having debts, albeit completely false information, and his manner was disrespectful. Consequently, I promptly ended the call.

Sounds like an Indian call centre ringing me up nonstop. They claimed to be from Consumer Advice and said I needed help sorting out debts, which I don’t even have. Earlier today, I received a phone call from someone named Derek with an Indian accent. He stated that he was a solicitor representing a debt collection agency. Derek was quite rude and threatened to seize our benefits and force us out of our home if we failed to make a payment. However, we promptly reached out to all our debtors and confirmed that they were satisfied with our repayment arrangements. In addition, we contacted the Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB) for guidance and they recommended that we involve the police in this matter.
