This number called me earlier and a man with an Indian accent said he was from Citizen Advice about some debts I supposedly owe. I asked him how much I owed, and he basically told me I should already know since they’re my debts. Then he mentioned he had my bank details, but I didn’t say anything more to him. The guy got quite nasty and accused me of lying about owing money. None of it was true, so I just ended the call.

Got a call from an Indian guy saying his name was Mike and he was from some debt company. I told him I don't owe any money, he acted surprised, I said yes I do, then told him to remove my number from their list. He refused, so I said I'd report him for harassment, he suddenly goes “oh my god I’m sooo scared.” I just hung up. Terrible people. Blocked him straight away.

When I asked which CA branch he was from, he said Manchester, but the number was actually a Peterborough one. I asked for their office number to ring up and verify, but he just ended the call.

Sounds like an Indian call centre ringing me up nonstop. They claimed to be from Consumer Advice and said I needed help sorting out debts, which I don’t even have. When I questioned them and asked for my info to be removed, they got rude and wouldn’t do it. I’ve now blocked the number. It’s scary to think some folks could actually fall for this kind of thing.

Got a call earlier from a bloke with an Indian accent who said his name was Derek. He said he was a solicitor representing some debt collectors. He was really pushy and kept threatening that if we didn’t settle the debt, he’d have our benefits stopped and even try to get us kicked out. I ended up ringing everyone we owe money to, and luckily, they’re all fine with the arrangements we have. Also got in touch with Citizens Advice Bureau, and they told me to report it to the cops.

Sometimes even after blocking, they ring again and leave a missed call without any message. It's really frustrating and seriously, something needs to be done to put an end to this.
