The woman was really rude, trying to sell some environmental government scheme. I told her I wasn’t interested but she kept pushing and getting quite aggressive. Even after I said no thanks, she just kept on talking. I had to hang up. I’m fed up with these calls coming from all sorts of numbers, not just this one. Proper annoying.

Really aggressive caller trying to push insulation on my elderly mum. When my son answered, they just hung up on him. What's the use of signing up to the TPS when these companies blatantly disregard it? They ought to face legal action. I'm so upset with their behaviour and total lack of respect. My mum's on the TPS and she has dementia, so she's very vulnerable. We try hard to shield her but it feels impossible when dodgy companies only care about making a sale no matter how much upset they cause.

Spectrum rang me up about cavity wall insulation, saying it might be improperly installed and unsuitable for my home. They tried to scare me and then pushed a survey so they could replace it with their stuff. Feels like a proper scam just to drum up business. The bloke on the phone was really annoying and acted like he had some kind of right to call me out of the blue about my insulation, which is none of his business. I’ve reported them to the TPS - I’d suggest you do too.

Got a cold call even tho my number’s registered with the Telephone Preference Service. The guy asked if I was Mr or Mrs, which was odd since my voice clearly sounds like a woman. He kept going on, but I hung up before he even managed to say more than his name and “how are you?” I looked up the number afterwards and saw they’d rung me twice before recently. Both times I told them my number is on the Telephone Preference list and I don’t accept deals from cold calls. The second time the caller promised to take me off their list - yet here they are again ringing me.

Had the same thing happen to me - a bloke claimed he was calling from an energy provider. When I asked why he hadn’t bothered to check the TPS register, he just started rambling. I told him he should really do his job right and respect the rules.

Half an hour ago, some bloke rang asking if I was Mr XY, the fella who sold me my house over a decade ago. They must’ve got an old list off some dodgy source. It was about fibreglass roof insulation. When I told him he’d got the wrong person, he said it didn’t matter as long as I was a householder! I mentioned I never buy anything from cold calls, but he just kept going on, just like the one earlier commenter said. I just wanted him to say 'Thanks, goodbye', but he rushed me and hung up instead! Proper cheeky bugger. Why not get a decent job, like a parking warden or summat?
