I picked up and just said "hello," then the person asked, "Is this (my firstname)?" I said yes and asked who was calling, but then they just ended the call. The whole thing was barely 7 seconds and they never tried ringing again.

I got a call from someone asking if I’m a Sky customer. I said yes, then they asked if I’d switched my account in the past year. After I said yes again, they just said “Alright, thank you, madam” and hung up. Seems like they were just trying to drum up some business.

Got a call from some daft housing repairs lot asking me about issues with my place. Told the woman there’s nothing wrong and she suddenly went all moody and changed how she was talking. If there was a problem I'd ring my landlord, not some random company! Blocked them straight away.
