Somebody rang claiming to be from E.on, saying there was a fault in their system that had mixed up our electricity bills with others nearby. They sounded pretty convincing and even had loads of details. However, the moment I requested them to verify my last meter reading, things didn’t add up at all. Definitely a scam.
