Received a call from someone claiming to be Talk Talk, telling me there's an issue with my internet. They said they could fix it if I followed their instructions, but it sounded dodgy to me.

My mum got a call from this number the other day. It was one of those recorded messages pretending to be from BT, saying her internet was about to be cut off. She was quite worried because she’s a bit older, so she rang me straight away. I looked up the number with 1471 and called back, but the message said the number’s no longer in use, and if it’s for a business, to get in touch with something called Tomico Services. Not sure what the point of the call was, but it definitely wasn’t a proper or genuine call.

Just got a call at my mum's from someone saying they were from BT, warning her her internet would be disconnected soon. Pretty sure it was a scam!

On the 27th of April 2018, around 12:03, I got a recorded call from a woman with an American accent saying she was from BT. She claimed my internet was on the verge of being cut off and asked me to press 1 to talk to an agent or 2 to cancel something. Since I have TalkTalk as my provider, I quickly checked my emails and found nothing from them. No way am I ringing that number back.
