4 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call today, dated 13/07/22, from someone with an Asian accent claiming to represent Sky. He mentioned that they had recently merged with BT, which raised my eyebrows. He proceeded to inquire about the internet device I was using and whether my router was displaying a blue light. When I told him it wasn't, he then insisted I power on my laptop. I firmly told him that he had called me, and I had no idea who he was. He reiterated that he was indeed from Sky and spoke of the supposed merger with BT. Very courteously, I asked him to respect my wishes and leave me be, subsequently hanging up the phone. Doubting his claims, I reached out to BT, only to find out they hadn’t merged with Sky and had no plans to do so either. The number that rang me was 01727622387.
