I just had a rather disconcerting phone call from a woman identifying herself as "first assist," who was inquiring about a supposed road traffic accident I may have been involved in. She seemed far too chipper as she asked if I was satisfied with the assistance I'd received. To be honest, it felt rather intrusive and blatantly false, and I'd had enough! When I pressed her on how she obtained my mobile number, she claimed they had connections with all insurance firms. I made it quite clear that I found her call to be an invasion of privacy, but before I could elaborate, she swiftly ended the conversation. It baffles me how such individuals get away with contacting private numbers like this!
