I received a call from what appeared to be an international number, so I opted to let it ring through to my voicemail. To my surprise, I was met with an awful, piercing screech that seemed impossible to halt! As I tried to make sense of it, it continued as if it were leaving a message. After what felt like an eternity, the racket finally ceased, but lo and behold, there was no message left at all! Quite the peculiar experience, I must say.

The call came up as an international number, so I opted to let it ring through to my voicemail. Suddenly, there was this horrendous screeching sound that was quite a nuisance and took ages to silence, all while my screen indicated it was recording a message. In the end, the dreadful noise ceased, but there was no message left at all.
