Somebody called claiming to be from BT Openreach, telling me there was an issue with my internet speed. But I’m actually with Virgin. They asked me to press the ctrl and r keys together, which popped up the run box, then wanted me to enter a command. I know this is a common trick scammers use to get control of your PC. I told them I’d report them and didn’t go along with what they asked. The person had an accent that sounded Asian, if that matters.
