I received a call today where the individual mentioned my name and claimed to be reaching out about BT Broadband. To be honest, I find it hard to believe this was a legitimate BT number, as most of these callers use 0800 numbers that lead to automated responses if you attempt to call back. I wasn't particularly impressed by their sales pitch. When I asked how much I'm currently paying for my phone plan, they couldn't tell me, which only adds to my suspicion that this might be a marketing firm working on behalf of BT.

Got a call about half past six in the evening, someone trying to convince me to switch back to BT. It was clear from the start it was a fake. She even had some radio noise playing in the background, as if she was calling from a centre or something! That woman should really feel bad. Initially, they suggested they were associated with BT, but when we pressed them, they claimed to be reaching out on BT's behalf regarding broadband services. They identified themselves as Hero TFC. Received a call from this number earlier today, 8th November 2010. They claimed to be from BT, inquiring about our broadband situation. We informed them that we had received a better deal from BT just last month, and when we suggested they check the new offer we received, the caller seemed to agree but then promptly hung up.
