It’s pretty straightforward: on your iPhone, just tap the “i” next to the caller’s number, scroll down a bit, and you’ll find the option to “block this number.” After that, you won’t have to deal with them anymore. It does make one ponder, what's the link between Vodafone, being overseas, and some marketing outfit based in Rotherham? After receiving roughly five calls a day for several days from this number, we finally answered one of the calls. It turned out to be a call from TSC (Telecom Service Centre), who claimed they were calling on behalf of Halifax. They provided a contact number, 08704 604506, and mentioned that I could speak to either Claire Ripley or Andrew Stephenson. I was advised to request that they remove my number from their directory. Subsequently, we also contacted Halifax directly and asked them to ensure our details were removed from any directories shared with marketing firms.

The number that pops up on my Caller ID is 08704604506, yet when I check 1571, it presents as 01709 761100. They appear to be using the same line. We consistently find that no one is on the other end as soon as we pick up (happens at least daily). We've opted to block the number now using a BT security option. I did something similar with a different number a few years back and lifted the block after a mere three days. Simply put, I never received a call from them again.
