Got a few calls from this number today, turns out it’s an elderly lady on the other end. She seems a bit mixed up and keeps trying to reach her gardener, who she can’t seem to get through to. Funny thing is, the gardener apparently shares my name, which makes me wonder if she might be getting caught up in some sort of trick. Someone rang me about a debt I supposedly owed, which isn't true, but he wanted my personal info before telling me anything. He spoke with an English accent and claimed he was from Debt Management Rotherham. I looked up the company online and it does exist, but I refused to share my details. After hanging up, I called the company directly and told them what happened. A bloke there checked their system and said I wasn’t listed at all - they only assist folks who contact them for debt help. So watch out, this feels like a scam and might be risky!

I answered a call super early from someone claiming to be from the citizens advice "department". He said they were chasing a debt I supposedly owed because they’d got my info from some debt collection agency. I told them I don’t owe anything. Then they threatened if I didn’t pay up in 24 hours, they’d involve the police. These folks are just trying to scam you out of money by making stuff up. Don’t fall for it.
