Vodafone kept calling me to get me onto a new contract since my old one finished in July and I switched to pay as you go (their big value bundles are cheaper than their current contracts). I told them I wasn’t interested because they’re bringing back EU roaming charges for any deals signed after 11th August. I asked them to remove my number from their call list, and the person said they would, but they totally lost interest the minute I mentioned the roaming fees, so I doubt it. He’s got Aspergers and was really thrown off by it all. He even rang Vodafone himself to check what was going on. They were acting like they were from Vodaphone, but when I mentioned I thought it was a scam and said I’d report it to the cybercrime team, they just ended the call straight away.

I received a rather strange call from this number, with the caller insisting that they would track down both me and a mate of mine. It felt very odd indeed! When I rang the number back, a woman picked up, yet she was certainly not the same individual who had originally contacted me. Quite unsettling, I must say!
