The person on the other end claimed to be from the energy company and attempted to persuade me to switch my energy provider. It might not fall under outright fraud, but it was certainly a cold call and rather unwelcome.

Some bloke called me, said his name was Mark and had quite a thick accent. Claimed he was ringing from some housing firm about mould or damp problems in my flat - which is total rubbish, no issues here. I told him he’d got the wrong number, and he just cut me off straight away without any explanation. Felt a bit dodgy, could be a scam but can’t say for certain.
