I got a call supposedly from Romford, which is nowhere near anywhere I know. The person on the line told me I’d won a big lottery prize, even though I haven’t played any lottery for more than ten years. They said I had 17 days to claim it by ringing a different number. The whole message was read out in a dull, robotic tone. They never mentioned the name of any company, and I couldn’t find any info or complaints about this number anywhere. It’s clear to me this is just a scam and those behind it are just trying to con people.
