I picked up the phone without checking the number, thinking it might be my mate ringing. As soon as I greeted them, the line went dead! Once I finally looked at the caller ID, I saw the number was blocked. I’ve got a strong feeling it was just another dodgy scam call.

I picked up the phone and said hello? On the other end, a bloke inquired if he was speaking to (my name). I responded affirmatively but with a hint of wariness. Then, without any further ado, he abruptly disconnected. It's quite baffling as to why he would do that, but I’ve decided to block the number now.

A woman rang up, alleging she was from Aviva Life Insurance and claimed she needed to speak with my husband regarding a supposed review of his policy. The issue is, he doesn't actually have any policy with Aviva at all. When I probed about whether he had asked her to get in touch, she abruptly ended the call. Just a heads up to everyone – stay cautious!

I had a similar experience. When I asked the caller why they were reaching out about life insurance, they just kept insisting they were from my life insurance provider. It was quite peculiar because they seemed to know my full name. Just a minute prior to receiving the call, I had booked a parking spot online. The number they called from was +44 1706 967125. Quite the odd coincidence, don’t you think?
