I received a call from this number, as well as another one, 01709 357347, earlier today. They were inquiring about my Vodafone SIM contract. Foolishly, I ended up sharing my bank account information with them.

I keep getting these vexatious calls at all hours, they ring me up out of the blue, both day and night, and there’s never anyone at the other end when I pick up. It’s got to be some sort of con, hasn’t it? Absolutely infuriating!

I tend to ignore calls from numbers that I don't recognise; it's just not worth my while to pick up. They clearly haven't got the message, as I've had two calls from them today already! What a waste of their effort, really.

What a farce! I’ve just come back from the hospital, where I was given Oramorph for pain relief, and in my somewhat dazed state, I foolishly handed over my details thinking I was in for a fantastic phone contract deal. They were masquerading as Vodaphone, and it was all one massive con! Thankfully, I clocked on after about a week, but by then, they’d already siphoned off £35 from my account, a fiver at a time. What a nightmare!

This number persistently calls me, yet I choose to ignore it. One must exercise caution with Vodafone. While they are a substantial corporation, there's a plethora of con artists lurking, eager to dupe their clientele. Strangely, the Vodafone UK website lacks contact numbers for their shops, making it rather challenging to get hold of them. It seems one must travel to the nearest store in person. Quite peculiar for such a large organisation that operates with such stringent systems and processes.

I received a call claiming to be from Vodafone, and they mentioned how I’ve been a dedicated customer for ages. They promised me a more attractive deal, which raised some alarms when they requested my bank details. I wisely decided to ask them to call me back instead, and after doing a bit of reading, I’m now aware of the potential scam. It’s frustrating to think about how much of her time I've wasted! It’s crucial to stay vigilant, especially at this busy time of year. What a cheek!

I'm currently in the midst of waiting for a critical call from the medical team, and out of the blue, I had the misfortune of receiving a call from a rather unpleasant individual claiming to represent Vodafone. I tried to convey my urgent circumstances, yet she was adamant she was affiliated with my network provider and was merely performing her duties. In a moment of frustration, I raised my voice, hoping she would grasp the seriousness of the situation. Rather than backing down, she continued to defend her reasoning for the call. It has now come to my attention that this was nothing but a scam. I genuinely wish her nothing but misfortune; what a despicable person she is! One can’t help but feel that someone’s life may have been at stake because of her actions—she ought to be locked away and live on nothing but stale bread for a spell... :/

I keep getting calls from a number associated with Rochdale, and I’ve chosen not to answer – it’s been relentless, day after day for nearly a week. Curious, I decided to ring the number back, and a woman claimed to be from Vodafone, saying I'm a premier customer due to my frequent top-ups. She insisted I should hang up and wait for her to return the call to save me money. If it were indeed costing me, I wouldn't have made that call in the first place! It might shave a few minutes off my balance, but that’s a flimsy excuse – it feels misrepresented, to say the least. The number seemed dubious from the onset, appearing more like a home phone number, which led me to do some digging that brought me here. After reading other users' experiences, I’m convinced this is a scam. Please, whatever you do, steer clear of giving out any bank details! Stay safe!

My husband received a few calls from 01706 398645, which is just one number off from this one. They also pretended to be from Vodafone and sent a message that was rather similar. Regrettably, I was rather naive and ended up sharing my bank information for a Vodafone contract. They possess my full name, address, date of birth, as well as my account number and sort code. This happened about a week ago, and it’s only just dawned on me that it could be anyone behind this. As of now, it appears that no money has been siphoned off, but I’m curious – what else can they do with those details apart from initiating a direct debit in my name? I recently dialled this number, and it turns out to be associated with Vodafone. The message you receive mentions something about a non-urgent call from them. However, it isn’t directly from Vodafone; it’s actually their team. They’re apparently up to something called call rolling, which gives the impression to their higher-ups that they’re making a plethora of calls and engaging with numerous customers. I find myself in a similar predicament. It’s evident that Vodafone has taken no action whatsoever since this issue has persisted for an entire year. Given that seemingly everyone affected is a PAYG customer of theirs, it raises serious concerns that our details have likely originated from Vodafone. This number has been incessantly calling a family member's Vodafone mobile, sometimes up to four times daily! When we do answer, however, the line goes silent. It seems to be quite the headache, and it's tempting to think this might be a problem on Vodafone's end that they're simply brushing aside. Is it possible that Vodafone is fishing for cash from their pay-as-you-go customers with these calls? Maybe it's one of those auto-dialling systems where the first person to pick up gets connected and everyone else is left hanging? Honestly, I've had my fill of Vodafone's indifferent attitude towards their clientele; this is precisely why I ditched their contract long ago.
