I got in touch with BT to arrange a leased line, but they told me they don’t actually sell those and pointed me towards BT Local Business instead. This guy called Stuart came round to give a quote, and we decided to go with them. Everything seems above board to me. Not sure why some people leave bad reviews, but my dealings with them have been pretty smooth so far.

I keep getting calls at work from this company almost daily, sometimes 3 or 4 times a day, all about my BT account. They’re quite aggressive with their approach. Eventually, I contacted BT myself and they told me the calls were actually from a company named Branded Telecom. Just watch out for them!

These guys are nothing but dishonest sales reps, trying to con honest small businesses into signing up for lease lines that just don’t work properly. It's basically a scam, pure and simple, and honestly they ought to be closed down. Lease lines for small businesses shouldn’t even be allowed, but these scammers only care about raking in fat commissions so they can keep selling BT stuff. Don’t be fooled - this lot go by the name Branded Telecom, not British Telecom!

They’ve been involved with our company, and I’d say they’re pretty much legit. The main issue isn’t the company itself though, it’s more the fact that a few of their sales team come across as a bit sketchy and just aren’t great at closing deals. I reckon if they hired better salespeople and tweaked how they do things, they’d see a real improvement.

A woman phoning me every single day, saying she was from BT and trying to get me to switch my contract. I couldn't understand why I'd have to change anything, but she kept saying that phone lines are going digital and that I'd lose my number if I didn’t act. After I told her I'd ring BT directly to check, she started sending loads of calls and emails, and eventually got quite rude. I’ve dealt with this place loads of times, they’re the local BT branch covering Liverpool, Chester and North Wales. All the workers have official BT ID cards with employee numbers that check out. If you search for BT Local Business and enter your postcode on the BT website, you’ll find this franchise. I’ve been using their services for years and even verified the staff’s EIN numbers directly with BT to make sure they’re legit.

I looked into the number 01704 898 200 after seeing some details here, and I can confirm it's not a BT number at all. The company behind this is Branded Telecom Ltd, located at 2nd Floor Martland Mill, Mart Lane, Burscough, Ormskirk L40 0SD. Their hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm, excluding bank holidays. Just FYI so you don't get confused!

I had some muppets ringing me up pretending to be from BT Direct, trying to convince me to switch to some new "savers" deal. Told them flat out, "You're not BT!" Yesterday, I received a call from a chap named Owen Jones, who claimed to be representing BT. He said he could help reduce my monthly phone and broadband charges. Oddly enough, he already had my email address and sent me a form that was supposedly from BT to sign. He rang me again to confirm I had the email and pushed for me to complete the signing. This morning, he called once more, eager for me to sign the document. I asked him about securing a more advantageous deal, and then promptly hung up. It felt very dodgy, so just a heads up, everyone! Stay vigilant!
