Today I got a call from the landline number 01704562366. The person claimed to be from BT Openreach, but when I mentioned I use Virgin Media, he insisted they sort everything out. He said someone was using my IP address without permission and tried to convince me to set my address to private, offering to guide me through it step-by-step. I honestly didn’t realise BT and Virgin had anything to do with each other. Felt a bit suspicious about this unexpected call, so I just ended it right away.
