The minute I heard the bloke speaking with an Indian accent and calling himself Richard, I knew something was off. You never meet someone from India with a name like that. He said "Glare compare" or something like that, but it’s actually "Go compare." I told him to get lost and to quit trying to scam people because we’re not daft. Then I hung up and blocked the number. If you pick up on a thick accent like that, just hang up straight away. It’s scammers having a go, don’t let them catch you out whatsoever.

Some bloke called Ryan (pretty sure that wasnt his real name) rattled off a bunch of big insurance firms and claimed his company worked with them to get the best life insurance prices for me. Got a call from someone called Amy about a "Legal & General" life insurance policy I’ve never had. She sounded like she was just reading off a script, cos every time I tried to ask something, she just started again from the top. When I asked for a number to ring her back on, she just hung up. This feels dodgy, especially as I’ve dealt with Legal & General before, so I was wary and kept interrupting. Could definitely trick others though. I’ve blocked the number now.
