Got a call from someone saying they needed to check info for my insurance, but they had no clue what policy it was about. Ended up hanging up pretty quick.

Got a call about life insurance, but the woman was mumbling so I asked what company she was from. She said Alliancez. I asked what policy she meant. She just said “your life policy” which I had no clue about. Then she got a bit annoyed and said ‘I’m just trying to talk to you’. I told her I wasn’t interested, ended the call, and blocked the number. Definitely a scam.

Got a call from 01704524017, this lady said she could help me save money on my life insurance with Royal London, which I don’t even have. I told her no thanks and that if I wanted to save money I’d go through my bank. She then asked which bank I use, so I told her to mind her own business. She was an Indian lady who just said sorry and hung up. Five minutes later, another call from 01582164847 came through but I didn’t pick up as I didn’t know the number. And I’m registered on the TPS anyway.

Got a cold call from someone trying to go over my insurance and mortgage stuff. Played along with the cheeky little Asian lady for about four minutes till my tea arrived, then just ended the call and blocked her number.

They called me up saying I’d been in a car crash. I said yeah. They asked what happened so I told them it was just a small accident, I had a dodgy stomach and couldn’t get to the loo in time so I messed myself a bit in the car. Haha, they just cut the call off. I wonder what that was about?

This bloke from Asia called, claiming to be from some sort of Health Life Insurance company - didn't quite catch the full name. My wife answered since I was behind the wheel. He insisted on speaking to me because it was "very important," but she ended up arguing with him and then hung up. I've blocked the number now: 01704 524017. Got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. I picked up but just left the phone down without saying anything. A woman with an accent that wasn’t British kept trying to get me to say something for about half a minute before she gave up and ended the call. Could hear a lot of background noise like it was coming from a call centre.

Got a call from a polite young woman claiming she wanted to discuss a review of my life insurance. I asked her which policy she was talking about, and she rattled off like eight well-known insurers she was supposedly working for. I asked again what policy exactly she meant, and she just said “your life insurance.” When I pressed for more details about which policy in particular, she just ended the call.

Pesky call. I answered but didn’t say a word, and neither did the caller. If there’s no chat from me they just drop the line. I’ve blocked this number but they keep ringing from new ones. Don’t know how they got my number, I’m on the TPS and all, but they still manage to call. Proper annoying scammy lot, best block ’em and any other rubbish calls that sneak through.

Got a really arrogant lady on the phone pushing life insurance on me. I politely said no, and she snapped back with “DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU’RE TURNING DOWN?!” As if that makes it better. Unwanted calls clearly aren’t welcome, but she still argued. I brought up data protection and told her to delete my number and stop calling, but she kept going. Never gave any consent to be contacted. Blocked her straight away. Would steer clear from this one.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Alex from our colonial mates. When I asked for his last name, he said Smith! I replied in a posh voice saying my name was Devinder Gupta, and he quickly said sorry and hung up. Just another dodgy scammer. Proper pain in the arse.
