I had a bit of a dodgy experience where someone was impersonating Lloyds Bank. As soon as I got a whiff that something was off, they just cut the call. I then tried reaching out to the number for fraud that I dug up from Lloyds' official site, but all I ended up with was these con artists again. Absolute nightmare!

Got a message saying £0.00 was declined at Amazon, then another one came through saying £378.44 was refused because my card was frozen. Both texts showed the last four digits of my card. It’s obviously a trick to get you to call them back. Don’t phone or interact with this number at all!

Some bloke called saying he was from Tide, wanted to chat about my partner’s business account. Seemed a bit dodgy to me.

That number +441702278272 sent me a dodgy text pretending to be Lloyds, saying my transaction was declined ‘cos my card was frozen. It feels like these scammers have got me in their sights - I had a proper fraud on that very card just the day before and even got a call from someone pretending to be Lloyds. Proper fishy!

Suspected financial scam.

I received a call from someone masquerading as a representative from the Lloyds Fraud Department, claiming that they had spotted two dubious transactions linked to AirBNB. The amounts they mentioned were quite hefty - £540 and then £1100. They insisted I share my security information to confirm who I was. The amusing twist? I don’t even have an account with Lloyds!

Watch out, this is a fraud pretending to be from Lloyds bank’s fraud team. They try to scare you by saying your WiFi’s been hacked and want you to log into your computer. They ask loads of questions and were probably aiming to get into my laptop. The bloke sounded English, spoke really nicely and was very polite and patient. After a while, the call just cut off. I checked with Lloyds and they said they never ring you first about transactions, they always send a text beforehand and only call back if you respond. BE CAREFUL, this is definitely a con trick.

I received a call claiming to be from the fraud department of Lloyds Bank. We had quite the lengthy chat since I had just fallen victim to a scam today. However, out of the blue, the call dropped, and I anticipated a return call from this chap. Yet, here I am an hour later, and still no sign of him. It's certainly raised my suspicions about the whole thing.

This number claims to be from Lloyds Bank, but it seems super dodgy to me. If anyone tells you to ring them on this number, just ignore it and get in touch with your bank straight away instead. Definitely looks like a scam!

This caller purports to represent Lloyds, but when I refused their dubious offer, they resorted to foul language. Disgraceful behaviour, really!

I received a text claiming my card ending in xxxx was declined for .00 at amazon.es luxembourg lux on 18/10/2021. It said the reason was the card was frozen. If it was me or someone else authorised, I was told to log into the app, unfreeze the card and try again. If not, to ring +44 170 227 8272. They had the last four digits of my card which felt off. After checking online and reading the reviews, I reckon this is dodgy. Never call the number they give - always contact your bank directly using their official number.

So someone rang my nan pretending to be from the TSB fraud department, trying to get her to confirm her info. I stepped in and said I'd phone TSB myself to check if it was legit before doing anything else, and they just immediately ended the call. Definitely steer clear of this one!

Got a call from someone pretending to be Lloyds Bank, saying there was some dodgy activity on my account. They sounded really legit and told me to send money to a "secure account." I ended up hanging up and then phoned Lloyds directly, and they told me it was a scam. Glad I didn’t fall for it!

At 14:11 I got a text from +447488868880 asking if I’d made a payment of £189 for some telly. They said if it wasn’t me, I should let them know. It felt odd because usually the bank messages come from different numbers, and this didn’t look right. Later, at 16:09, I got a call from 01702278272. A woman asked about my bank balance and told me to check my app to confirm it. The whole thing seemed dodgy, especially since the call came a couple of hours after the text. Definitely not normal behaviour.

Somebody called me claiming to be from Lloyds fraud team but when I rang Lloyds myself, they said it wasn’t them. The scammer was trying to convince me to move my money into a new HSBC account. Definitely a con!

Got a call from +441702278272, a bloke claiming to be from Lloyds' credit card fraud team. He asked if I’d made two payments, one over £800 and another £127.83 to Airbnb. I told him I hadn’t, and when he asked if I’d ever used Airbnb, the line just went dead. Later on, I got a message from Lloyds about a failed £1227.83 online payment. Then the proper Lloyds fraud team called me back and explained that the first call was likely a con artist trying to get my details to complete the payment.

I got a call from a bloke saying he was from the co-operative bank, telling me someone was trying to get a loan using my details. I told him I’d ring back later. When I actually contacted my bank, they told me it was a scam since the call came through at 8 in the morning, outside normal hours. They checked my account and confirmed no loan attempts had been made, so the guy was just trying to fish for info.
