I nearly got caught in a Lloyds bank scam. I had reserved a hotel in Cambridge through booking.com and it was going to cost me £89. Thankfully, I spotted it quickly and Lloyds stepped in to cancel the booking before anything happened.

She was looking for Mr xxx, but I told her there’s no one by that name here. After a bit of silence, she asked if I was related to him. I said no, I’m not part of the xxx family, and she’d dialled the wrong number. She said alright then and wished me a nice day.

Got a call from someone named Arron Jacobs claiming to be from Lloyds Bank Fraud Team. The number showed up from Southend-on-Sea at about 9:14 pm. It sounded like a scam, honestly. He told me there was an attempted payment of £49 to Aviva and asked if I’d approved or wanted to cancel it. Thing is, there was no such deal or charge on my bank account at all. Then as soon as I said that, the caller just hung up on me. Definitely dodgy.

This definitely seems like a scam. I got a message from a number saying it was Lloyds, trying to get me to confirm a payment on my card. Luckily, I rang my bank straight away and they said there’s no payment showing on my account. Then I got a call from the same number, with someone pretending to be from the bank. Don’t ever give out any info on these calls!! Stay safe!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds fraud team, saying my card was blocked and I had to log into my phone account right away. I wasn’t falling for it and told them no, then they just hung up on me. Tried ringing the actual Lloyds fraud service to report it, but they didn’t seem bothered at all. Can’t believe they can’t track down the number they used. Honestly, these scammers are the worst!

This was totally a rip-off! Someone called saying they were from Lloyds, saying my account had some dodgy activity. I kept asking questions to this 'Bethany' lady and eventually she just hung up on me! After that, I contacted Lloyds’ fraud team directly and told them what happened. Turns out it was a scam call. Be careful, don’t hand over any info or ring any numbers they provide. Always call your bank directly - Lloyds or whoever you use.

I got a call from this number claiming to be Lloyd’s. Afterwards, I got a text saying someone tried to withdraw money from my account and to reply with y or n. I replied n, and they rang me immediately. The woman on the phone asked for my sort code and account details but I told her I suspected it was a scam, then she just hung up. They called back and kept pushing me to shut down my account. I ended the call and contacted Lloyd’s myself to report it.

I got this text claiming to be from Lloyd’s, saying someone was attempting to withdraw money from my account. They asked me to reply Y if it was me or N if it wasn’t, and that they’d ring back. Well, an hour and a half later, they kept me on the line trying to get my password. I eventually asked to speak to their manager because the line was really quiet. Then a different woman answered saying, ‘Hello, this is so-and-so from Barclays.’ Total nonsense. I started laughing and she just hung up. What a joke!
