Picked up while I was in the bathroom. Told them to wait a sec and let the noises do their thing. Something rubbish about energy. They stayed on the line for ages before finally hanging up. Then about 20 minutes later, the bloke rings back saying I was mid-chat about missing insulation. Yeah right, I never said that!

He had a Scottish accent with loads of hustle and bustle from a call centre in the background. They asked for me by my proper name and mentioned something called the "Scottish Funding Initiative". I just cut the call there and looked it up online. Turns out it's not real, definitely a scam.

A guy with a Scottish accent rang claiming to be from something like Energy Scotland. He said he wasn’t trying to sell anything but then started quizzing me about my loft insulation, telling me it should be checked every year. When I mentioned I’d paid for it myself but wasn’t sure what kind it was, he got really patronising and said “you don’t even know what you paid for” and then just ended the call. I really wish there was a way to put a stop to these types of calls.

Energy Scotland have been ringing me like mad, every few days, coz they're completely useless and won’t take me off their list. When I told them how dumb they were for not removing my number, they said they’re smarter than me and started being pretty nasty.
