I’ve been getting these silent calls from this number for a while now, so I marked it as dodgy. Today, someone finally spoke when I answered, claiming 02 wanted to offer me some kind of credit or bonus. When I asked which company he worked for, he said "comparethenetworks[###]" and mentioned their HQ was in London. But when I looked them up online, their domain was actually registered in Peterborough, and the phone code seems to be from Motherwell. Definitely wouldn’t trust these lot.

Got a call from a guy speaking with an Indian accent saying he was from Apple or EE. There was music playing loudly in the background which felt really dodgy. I’m definitely not with EE, so I just told him no thanks, ended the call, and then blocked the number straight away.

Got a call claiming to be from EE, saying they needed to go over my contract. I told them to ring me again when I could record the conversation, as I had a feeling it was a scam. They never rang back.

Called me sayin they work with EE and could get me a better upgrade deal. I said I’d chat with EE directly and then just ended the call. Pretty sure it’s a scam or something dodgy.

Managed to get the bloke on the line to confess he might’ve broken GDPR rules. He didn’t hang around much after I mentioned that!

so, someone rang me claiming to be from connect the networks or something like that. they were all about giving you discounts on your phone plan or maybe even a free upgrade. sounded pretty convincing but when i tried googling them, nothing showed up. in the end, i decided to give it a miss.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Vodafone, saying I was eligible for an upgrade. But I’m quite sure when my actual upgrade is, so I knew straight away it was a scam.
