01695577812 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01695577812 👆 is reported as a persistent caller often claiming to represent a charity linked to children's causes, but appears to be using this as a pretext to promote advertising services, frequently associated with Yellow Pages or similar platforms. Users describe the caller as polite yet evasive, hanging up promptly when questioned or declined. Multiple missed calls and no voicemail messages are typical, suggesting a telemarketing or scam approach rather than genuine charity fundraising. Businesses listed on directories like Yell or FreeIndex seem particularly targeted. The consensus advises caution and recommends ignoring these calls, as they are likely attempts to solicit business under the guise of charitable work rather than legitimate fundraising.

I received a missed call earlier today from this number on my mobile. I decided to look it up and stumbled upon this thread. I really appreciate everyone sharing their insights; it's been incredibly useful! By the way, we also promote our services on Yell.

I received a call from this number earlier today. The gentleman introduced himself as “Mark Ellis” - I barely caught the name as he rushed through it - and claimed to be calling on behalf of a charity. While we were in the middle of something at the time, I kindly asked if he could ring back in twenty minutes. Alas, he never returned the call. We do have an advert with YELL, so I suppose it's only natural to anticipate some canvassers with any advertising, wouldn’t you say?

Blimey, the cheek of some people! Just the other day, I got a call from that number mentioned above. They were claiming to be from some charity called Forresters, supposedly raising funds for underprivileged kids. Sounds a bit fishy, doesn’t it? They went on about organising an advertising campaign in a few weeks and were asking if we’d be keen to jump on board. I had to let them know that our current workload is rather light, and we simply can’t stretch our budget for more advertising at this moment. The response? A quick “thank you” before they hung up. I won’t be falling for that trick again, not a chance!

Indeed, it seems like the chap is quite charming, albeit engaging in a bit of fundraising. It’s reminiscent of my experience advertising on Yell!-you just never know what sort of interactions you'll encounter.

We had a missed call on our mobile too, and when we tried to ring back, the line was perpetually engaged.

I've received a call from this number a whopping ten times over the last couple of days. It feels like it's gotta be a scammer masquerading as someone from a charity.

I received a phone call earlier today from someone claiming to be a representative of Yellow Pages-presumably how they acquired my number. She mentioned doing some side work for the Forresters Foundation and was keen to know if we had any interest. She came across quite polite, but it felt a bit off, as if she was leveraging a charitable cause aimed at helping vulnerable children purely for personal gain. It left me rather uneasy.

Hello everyone, So, we had a call from this number on our mobile earlier today. The moment we answered, a chap was exceptionally polite and began asking if we’d be interested in featuring in their children's booklet. As soon as we turned him down and mentioned that we often get these sorts of calls and can easily spot the scammers, he promptly said, "Thank you for your time," and hung up. Seems like they won't be pulling the wool over our eyes that easily!

Received a couple of calls from this number today, but I couldn't quite make out who it was or what they were after. So, I decided to pop the number into a search engine and stumbled upon all your fantastic, informative remarks. Much appreciated - they really provided me with the insight needed to understand who’s trying to reach me and for what reason. We recently listed our number on yell.com, which explains how these callers got hold of it.

Tried to give a quick call on the 4th, 5th, and 10th, but every time I got through, it just kept ringing back without any answer.

Having a business registered on FreeIndex certainly makes one vulnerable to this type of issue.

I was under the impression that some software was required, and they insisted on having my mobile number. When we expressed our reluctance to provide it, the chap suddenly ended the call! He definitely gave off a shifty vibe!
