From what I gather, these calls seem to come from a firm linked to a shady bloke originally from South Wales. I think he’s been fined before and even made headlines nationally. After gathering loads of info and pushing hard, I eventually got through to someone quite high up at the regulator. Seems like they haven’t managed to stop it yet.

Got a call from a woman with an Asian accent, number showing as Skelmersdale on my phone. Coincidentally, I was only about 5 minutes away from there. So I joked that I’d pop into their "office" in Skelmersdale since I’d be passing by soon. As soon as I said that, they hung up straight away. Total scam, the lady was just talking nonsense about insurance using broken English. They tried to make it sound like a massive global company. Skelmersdale? I don’t think so!

Proper cheeky insurance scammers on the blower - just hang up and hit the block button on your phone, seriously. Make sure you tell your older family or pals too, coz my neighbour’s mum was chatting with one for like 10 minutes. Who knows what info they managed to nick before her son grabbed the phone off her! Got a call from a woman with an accent on this number on 23.09.20, and when I asked how she got my number, she just muttered something I couldn’t make out.
