This caller claimed to be from BT, when I asked if that meant British Telecom, they confirmed it. They asked if I paid my bills by direct debit then tried to pitch me 3 months free rental. The moment it got awkward was when they wanted to know which bank was handling the payments. I told them I had no idea since I don’t actually pay the bills myself. Not long after, they just hung up on me.
