Got a call from someone claiming to be with Sky insurance saying my cover had expired. I didn’t believe it, told him no cheers and ended the call. He sounded a bit baffled. I know Sky don’t do insurance directly, they use a different company. If I ever needed insurance, I’d ring Sky myself.

I got a call from someone claiming to be Sky Assured Maintenance, telling me I needed to update my direct debit. I had never come across them before. When I asked for their contact number to call back, they said they’d only give it if I renewed the direct debit then and there. I tried ringing the original number (01692 405306), but it just played a message about calls being filtered through Sky Talk Shield, asking me to say my name and press 1. That seemed really dodgy to me, so I just hung up. I reckon it was definitely a scam.

Just got a call claiming to be from Sky, saying it was time to renew some TV maintenance thing. I was like, “TV maintenance? I don’t have that.” Then, bam, the line went dead on me. Feels like one of those dodgy scams trying to grab your card info, either to nick money or push fake insurance or something. Definitely not buying it.

The number 01692405306 is definitely a dodgy one. They managed to con me out of £59 on 24th July 2023. Thankfully, my bank caught on to their trickery and refunded me, plus they're sending me a new card. So, my advice is simple: don’t pick up if you see that number pop up; just block it without hesitation. It’s a complete scam! Cheers, Rob from Stockton-on-Tees.

I'd advise steering clear of any calls from this number, as it's clearly linked to a group of scammers with Indian accents operating from a call centre. They had the audacity to pose as representatives of the O2 Network, trying to lure me in with an enticing offer on an iPhone. Just beware!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from India, obviously a scam. I had a bit of fun pretending to be interested and just kept them on the line for ages. They got really irate and started swearing with a strong Indian accent, which was quite amusing. Whenever I’m doubtful, I just feed them rubbish info and watch how long they’ll keep going. I got a call from a bloke who had an accent that sounded African, claiming he was calling from EE. The number was showing up as North Walsham which made me a bit wary straight away. He told me EE was giving a 35% discount on bills and asked how much I normally pay every month. I told him if he was really from EE, he’d already know that.
