Got a robo call warning me my internet would be cut off today, with options to press 1 for BT or 2 for others. Had a few minutes free, so I went ahead and pressed 1 for a bit of a laugh. Then this bloke answered in a thick Indian accent, ‘Thank you for calling, how can I assist you?’ I said, ‘Nah, you phoned me.’ He replied, ‘No, sir.’ I insisted, ‘Yes, you did!’ Then I asked him what the call was about. You could hear him pause, probably realising I wasn't falling for their scam. Eventually, he just hung up. Score one for me, zero for the scammer.
