3 yearsSome bloke rang me saying he was from BT, claiming my IP had switched from private to public. I told him I’m with Virgin, not BT, but he insisted Virgin uses BT’s Openreach network, which I know isn’t true - they have their own setup. After pestering him loads for my actual IP address, he finally blurted out some dodgy number that wasn’t even close to mine. I just kept him chatting for ages, telling him I wasn’t buying any of it, hoping it’d waste his time and stop him ringing up more gullible folks.
