7 yearsI had a conversation with someone from this number, who identified herself as "Stella" and claimed to be from BT, discussing supposed "internet issues" that were said to have arisen from "a download to your router." Complete rubbish, as my internet service isn’t through BT at all! When I requested she verify my name, address, and BT account number, she could not provide any of that information and abruptly terminated the call. Doing a bit of digging, I found that the 01689 area code is linked to Orpington and nearby regions. The specific number, 01689 460706, appears to be legitimate. Although it’s worth noting that because of number portability, once a number changes operators, that data is no longer accessible to the public.
