definitely sounds like a big call centre, the person on the other end had a strong indian accent. said they were from bt and told me my internet was under attack. asked me to enter loads of stuff on my pc to apparently prove that there were people using my connection. then he tried to get me to install some programme that i reckon would have let him control my laptop remotely. i said no way and the call just cut off straight away.

Got another call from what seems to be the usual TalkTalk con, but now they're using a new set of area codes. Classic scam tactics, really.

Got a call saying they were from TalkTalk, threatening to cut off my internet right away. Thing is, we don’t even use TalkTalk. We’ve already talked to our actual provider about these dodgy calls. It’s definitely a scam!
