This morning, I got a phone call. However, it was an automated message and I couldn't catch everything that was being said. It did mention that pressing 2 would lead to a completely free service. Nevertheless, I decided to hang up without pressing any buttons.

Upon dialing the number two, I was directed to a gentleman with a distinct Welsh accent who claimed to be contacting me on behalf of Switch and Save UK. The absence of an official website for this company leads me to suspect that it may be a fraudulent operation. Let's hope that UK legislation catches up to global standards and shuts down these deceitful individuals in due course.

These pests have continuously been calling my 86-year-old mother, causing her a great deal of frustration. It's truly driving her crazy. Interestingly, she has more insulation in her loft than she'll ever require. Despite informing them of this fact, they persist in bothering her. It might be worth mentioning that I enrolled my mother with the TPS approximately three years ago. I sincerely hope these vermin experience a painfully slow demise in the foreseeable future. They surely deserve it.

I'm fed up to the back teeth with these phone calls. I have no interest whatsoever in cheaper phone calls, double glazing, dog worming tablets, or anything else that these low-life scammers are trying to sell me.

I've recently lodged a complaint to the ICO (not the TPS, as their line is automated - quite frustrating and a loophole, wouldn't you agree?). I chose option "2" to speak with one of their representatives, but as soon as I mentioned my desire to no longer receive their calls and my registration with the TPS, she abruptly ended the conversation.

The lady's phone settings have been adjusted to block anonymous calls, even those with withheld numbers. Additionally, the number has been added to the blocked list for junk mail. Despite these measures, however, the calls somehow continue to get through.
