I got a call from 01684 520015 someone pretending to be Virgin. I could tell it was dodgy right away but had some spare time so played along for about 20 minutes. They wanted my postcode so I just said I’d just moved and couldn’t recall it. Then when I called them out on the whole thing being rubbish, they got rude and suddenly ended the call. Sometimes it's the wee victories that brighten your day.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Virgin Mobile, asking for £50 upfront for a Samsung A91. Did a quick search and turns out that phone is sort of old and isn’t even on sale anymore. I told them to call me back and then they just hung up. Definitely gonna block that number.

Got a call from some bloke saying I’d won a promo deal. When I asked how he got my digits, he reckoned all big networks swap customer info and that he’s from Currys over in Wembley, trying to push an upgrade. I told him exactly what I thought of that and then I just slammed the phone down.
