I got a call from a man with an Asian accent claiming there might be a problem with my PC, saying it could be hijacked. He asked me to sit at my computer so he could guide me through fixing it. When I requested details about his identity and which company he was representing, he tried to answer but became annoyed when I said I wasn’t comfortable with the whole situation. So, I just ended the call. Being in my 60s, it worries me that folks my age might fall for these kinds of scams.

Today my phone buzzed and when I picked up with a cheerful 'Morning', there was nothing but quiet on the other end.

Did a quick search online with the number and stumbled upon this site, so thought I’d report it here.

So this guy called claiming his name was David and said there was some sort of bad stuff happening on my PC. He asked me to get on the computer and then tried to get into it. When he couldn’t manage it, he phoned again but as soon as I said I’d report him to the cops, he just dropped the call.

They rang me claiming there was an issue with my computer. I told them I actually have a computer repair shop, and they quickly ended the call... Honestly, it's just another scam trying to catch folks out.

My computer's been actin up lately... I told them there's no way anyone falls for their rubbish these days, and straight up called them scammers.

Got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent who said his name was David. He claimed to be from some place called Tech How or something along those lines. He launched into this routine about how your computer could get viruses when you're online and tried to convince me to "let him check it out." Sat through it for about two minutes before I just told him to jog on. Definitely not trustworthy, so watch out for these sorts of calls.
