Got a call from someone saying they're from Sky about a problem with my router. Then they handed me over to another person who messed up and said Virgin Media instead. When I told him I wasn't with them, he just hung up really quickly. Now the number's blocked or something.

Got a call from an Indian woman claiming to be from BT saying my router isn’t running at the correct speed. She asked if all the lights on the router were on, and I said yes. Then she asked about my internet speed but I couldn’t tell her that off the top of my head, so I just ended the call.

Definitely sounded like one of those call centres from India. First call came at 8 in the morning, a woman asking for the homeowner. They'd called earlier too, so I said we weren't keen. Then a guy with an Indian accent phoned about two hours later with the same nonsense. Told him to stop calling us. He said their firm will keep trying until someone picks up. Proper nuisance. Really ought to be banned.

Got a call around 8.24 this morning - had already blocked them before so it just showed up in my call history when I checked. Used Call Guardian to block them after seeing the earlier calls and checking what others said about them.

I can't shake the feeling that this is a nefarious scam that keeps cropping up. It absolutely baffles me why neither the authorities nor the service providers seem to take action, especially when a staggering 1973 people have reported issues related to this number. My call blocking seems to be on the fritz at the moment, but mark my words, I'm determined to sort it out! I'd recommend everyone else do the same.

I'm absolutely fed up with this incessant cold calling! I was courteous when I asked them nicely to cease contacting me, yet their rudeness knows no bounds. Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent around 08.25, just saying hello. I used 1471 and discovered it was actually a landline in England, not the withheld number my phone showed. Whenever I think it's a spam call, I just stay quiet when I pick up - it totally throws them off. Blocked the number right away.

Strong asian accent I could barely understand, sounded nothing like English. Classic cold call from overseas using a local Bala number to make it seem local. These calls are meant to be illegal now since they fake a local presence. Tried to track where it really came from but all roads led back online. Best bet is to just block and report it on this site.

Got a call super early this morning while I was still lying in bed. At first I heard some faint background sounds, then a lady with a clear accent asked me why I’d just called her. I asked “Who’s this?” and she said “Lindy”. I told her I hadn’t called and she replied with “Then why are you talking to me?”. Got a call from an Asian bloke selling some dodgy boiler service, he was really rude and kept talking over me when I asked him to take me off his call list. Proper pushy and wouldn’t listen, so I just ended the call. Then I got another random cold caller from Columbia afterwards, makes me wonder if they're connected?

I've had a fair few calls from this Asian chap on this number lately. I told him to knock it off and hung up. What really gets under my skin is the sheer persistence of these callers. Got a call at 8:20 in the morning. When I answered, the bloke started on about boilers "at 20 past 8". He then claimed it was completely legit. I told him I wasn’t interested and to remove me from his list. He just went on about someone ringing me back in 10 minutes. I ended the call. Talk about audacity!

I use Call Guardian, so the phone doesn’t ring straight away - they have to say who they are before I decide to pick up. After seeing these reviews, I went ahead and blocked the number anyway. They keep calling from different or withheld numbers, but it doesn’t matter. If I don’t answer or haven’t put the number in my list, they just get nowhere. Really useful for older folks or anyone who’s vulnerable - you can set it up with only trusted contacts in the phone, and most scammers just stop trying. Highly recommend it.

This number rang us two times within 5 minutes. The caller ID said "INTERNATIONAL" but under "Calls" it appears as 01678-434-856, which supposedly is Bala, Wales. It amazes me how these scammers are so bold they think they can call whenever they want and bother people. What's weird is they never leave a message, I guess they get nothing out of it if I don’t answer. Do they really just enjoy pestering people like that?
