I looked into this number and some others linked to the same scam. Turns out, they’re all connected to a company named Net-work Internet Ltd. I’ve had this number ring me a bunch of times over the last week. Luckily, I have call blocking on my phone so it doesn’t go through. There was also another number, 01678300014, that kept calling which I guess is from the same caller. Isn’t it supposed to be against the law to keep getting these annoying calls now?

I've been getting calls from this number non-stop, and today I thought I'd play along. The caller claimed to be from the telephone preference service and said if I verified some info, I'd stop getting any unwanted calls from tomorrow. They keep ringing about 4 times a day now, its proper getting on my nerves. If it wasn’t for needing the landline for my internet, I would’ve cut it off ages ago.

Got a call from someone with a foreign accent claiming it was about some call blocking service. I’ve heard you’re supposed to steer clear cause they’re just after your phone details. Told them I knew all about it and to buzz off, then they just hung up on me. Funny thing is, the same number, 01678300035, rang me a few times a few days back.

Around 16:21 I got a call from someone claiming they were with a telephone preference service, asking if nuisance call numbers had dropped. Then they tried to confirm my details and asked for my address. I didn’t give any personal info, told them it was a scam and told them not to ring me back. They just hung up straight away.

Picked up the phone at 4:55pm on April 17, 2018.

They called me by the wrong name and then claimed to be from the telephone preference service.

When I asked them to show some ID or tell me where they were calling from to prove they were legit, they just cut the call.

My verdict: total con artists. Very pushy and rude ones at that.

This number keeps ringing me loads of times every day, total scam I reckon. You’d think the authorities could do something to block these cheeky scammers and stop them pestering folks like me.

Totally a scam, don’t even bother. Block it right away using BT’s 1572 service. There’s actually two numbers, one is 01678 300015. When I asked if she was legit, she threw another number at me: 0203 621 1316. Best to just block both!

Some bloke calling 'Daniel' (which I doubt is his real name) said he wasn’t selling anything, but you could tell he was after something. When I told him I’d already blocked calls like his and that I’d report him, he just hung up. Funny enough, I’d actually blocked this number through TPS just last week!

I got a call from someone claiming to be with the phone preference service, saying they’d stop all junk calls for me permanently. Everything seemed fine at first, but then he wanted me to read out my debit card’s expiry date. That’s when I cut the call and blocked the number straight away.

Got a call where they were asking specifically for me. I played along and said I was a pizza shop, and then she went ahead and tried to order a pepperoni pizza! Definitely a scammer, steer clear.

Somebody rang me pretending to be from the Telephone Preference Service. They knew my address and postcode, mentioned that I pay my phone bill by direct debit, and said my card was about to expire next month. They asked me to confirm it. I asked why they needed such info, saying that was basically my security number and could verify who I am. As soon as I said it sounded like a scam, they just hung up. I’m already signed up with TPS and use BT’s 1572 service anyway.

They ring me like 2 to 4 times a week, always saying they’re from the telephone preference service. I always tell them it’s an unlawful call since I’m on the TPS, then just put the phone down.
