As soon as I asked them to identify themselves, they quickly hung up.

I received a call purporting to be from the Telephone Preference Service, requesting my personal details to 'update my records'. It’s clearly a scam!

Got a call on 18th April 2018 from a bloke with an Indian accent saying he was from the telephone preference service. He asked if I was still getting annoying calls - obviously I was! Turns out he was trying to sell me some sort of protection against calls just like his. Pretty cheeky if you ask me.

Happened to me too. They knew loads about me, but when I asked for the last four digits of my card or the sort code, they couldn’t provide it. Would be really interested to find out where they managed to dig up all that info.

Got a call from a bloke with an Indian accent claiming he was from TPS. He asked if I pay my bills by direct debit, which I do. Then he started asking about a Visa card and if it expired back in 2018. When he wanted to know the exact expiry month, I told him I didn’t feel comfortable with how the conversation was going, and he just put the phone down immediately.

They’ve rang me about 15 times today, all saying they can help stop nuisance calls. Pretty sure they’re just trying to get my bank details again. Total scam.

I got a call like that earlier, bloke said I was getting nuisance calls but then tried asking for my bank card expiry date. I just guessed a random month and he said it didn’t match, so I told him I wasn’t sharing any info. Looks like the nuisance calls are back on the cards from tomorrow, great...

got a call from this bloke with a thick foreign accent, asking if tps was my job. i told him yeah, but then he said it’s gonna stop from tomorrow. i had a feeling what was about to happen, so just hung up and blocked the number straight away.

When i questioned if he was calling from the TPS, he claimed it was the Telephone Preference Management service and said he had to confirm some info to keep the service active. He mentioned i was already signed up. He’s called me three times since, but just says “hello” then hangs up - exactly like a pest caller. I’ve blocked the number now.

Had three calls from these lot this morning. I keep telling them to buzz off, they’re just a pain. Total scam, pretending to be from TPS or something. Next time they call, I’m thinking of wasting their time with rubbish info.

got a call again from some company called telephone preference management, some bloke with a weird accent asked if i'd been getting annoying calls, told him yep, this was one of em and told em to bugger off. I reckon they also ring from 01678300015 - saw similar remarks about it. surprise surprise, that number’s now “not in service.” blocked it straight away.
